Elocon (Mometasone Furoate) Cream is indicated to treat skin conditions such as:

• Psoriasis

• Allergies

This medication decreases swelling or inflammation, redness, and itching. This is a medium-strength corticosteroid. This is available in several forms like cream, lotion, or ointment. Your doctor will give you the type of product you are going to use. It is based on the skin condition or area of the body being treated. 

How does Elocon (Mometasone Furoate) Cream work?

Mometasone Cream acts inside the skin cells to stop the release of these inflammatory substances.  This decreases redness, swelling, and itching. It also helps prevent scratching that can further irritate the skin.

Skin inflammation occurs when an allergic reaction or irritation of the skin causes various substances to be released in the skin. That it makes the blood vessels widen and results in the irritated area becoming swollen, red, painful, and itchy.

Why use Elocon (Mometasone Furoate) Cream?

Elocon Cream contains Mometasone Furoate as an active ingredient. It is a type of medicine known as a topical corticosteroid. It contains a 1mg Mometasone Furoate in a white to off-white cream. This product is for topical use only. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) already approved this medication.

How to use Elocon (Mometasone Furoate) Cream?

The recommended amount of cream is based on your condition and response.

Wash and dry your hands before using. Clean and dry the affected area. It is usually applied as a thin film of medication to the affected area once a day. Gently rub the cream.

Do not wash or rinse off right away the cream after applying it. Wash your hands with soap and water after each use unless you are using it to treat the hands. Avoid getting the cream in your eyes, mouth, or nose. If it happens, rinse right away with water and call your doctor.
