1. Give Time To Yourself For Some Adjustment

You don’t need to force yourself to be adjusted right away. Adjusting might differ from you and your loved one. Adjusting takes time. Allow yourself this period because it is needed for you to process with the new normal. It will also help you recognize the things you are going through.

2. Give Time To Your Loved Ones To Adjust As Well

The adjustment period you have might be different from others. Admit that you will come into battle because of what you are all going through but never give up on them. They might be having a hard time adjusting to the new normal as well. Coping with the new normal includes having patience and understanding for the ones you love.

3. Establish A Routine

A new routine incorporates a time for yourself, for your productivity, and your loved ones. You don’t need to be so hard on yourself with the structure. Just take it one day at a time and focus on what brings you peace and joy.

4. Limit Exposure To Social Media And News

Coping with the new normal also means being informed. However, it does not mean that you need to be on social media reading up everything. It is a good thing that you are informed especially this time but give also time for yourself to have a break. We already know what we need to do to survive this pandemic. Consuming yourself with news might not be good for your mental health.

At this time, it might be a great idea to focus on this day and at this moment and it must be your concentration. Be kind to yourself and others especially your family or loved ones even just little by little. You might find yourself having adjusted to the new normal because it is just what humans do. Being kind and permitting yourself to face this kind of situation is something that you could be proud of one day. This pandemic might only last for a year or two but what you’ve shown on yourself and other people around you will last a lifetime. Help yourself as well as others and keep in mind that you are not alone.
